Saturday morning started off with a walk down to the tracks shotrly after six. I had just missed 18G and was just in time for 212. Unfortunately it was much too dark for any decent photo. 39T pulling off of the Layoff was the first shootable train of the day. The sound of four EMDs throttling up was heavenly. Being sick of photos at CP-88, I walked down to the River Yard. The morning fog combined with a rising sun helped make this image of the dormant Bethlehem Steel mill, not just a shadow of the past. |

The next train was 24V, pulling down to CP-87 in order to set of 18 cars and pick up 11 for interchange with the LVRB. He would leave Bethlehem 40x1 with 8,161 tons and 7,532 feet of train. He was fouling CP-88 and CP-Bethlehem for a short while, allowing me to head west for the single track on the Reading Line to catch roadrailer 262 arriving in Bethlehem. |

Back down to the River Yard I went. 21M showed up next, passing by the tail end of 24V just before he had stated to pull. NS 19G went in to Allentown with five engines and quite a large train. Right on his tail was 11J, slowly pulling up to CP-Bethlehem after an approach signal at 861W. He would get a clear signal and proceed west. |
